Tether RPG

This came as a set wish i had two envelopes, we can send back-and-forth to our friend. Super fun to try to get the other to say it and nice end reply.

I bought this as a bundle with the journal. My spouse and I are writing one entry per day each, and keeping it to that is a challenge. We are both having a fabulous time exploring our ideas for our story, and intentionally letting the story line percolate between entries is part of the fun. I thought this would be enjoyable, but it's exceeded all expectations. The game is simple, portable, engrossing, and repeatable. Win on all fronts. I highly recommend it.

I'm happy I got the physical copy of the game. Nice card stock and it makes the idea of the spooky journal more satisfying for me. I love the atmospheric art that you can build your own ideas out of and go anywhere with!

Great two player fun - the concept is great and allows for a lot of flexibility and, I would think, a lot of replayability. The booklet is well thoughtout and the art is perfectlysuited

Super fun and very clear, helpful instructions. I purchased this for a date night and upon realizing it takes several days to complete, we are now having a week of date nights based around writing our letters in the tether- super super super valuable purchase.

As emphasized in the game, taking your time with Tether is one of the best ways to enjoy it. It both, heightens the anticipation while waiting for the next entry and relieves the pressure that can be placed on the players. The horror themes are prevalent but also presented in a way that allows the game to be replayed and offers a way to keep the game endlessly fresh. The real limits (aside from the materials needed to play) are simply your imagination.

Wow! This is the most writing and storytelling I have done in so long! I have struggled to get people into role playing games with me, but this one has been incredible! The beautiful little book is so intriguing and accessible!

This is a cool concept for a game. The rules are kind of sparse in some areas.I understand wanting to be open to allow more options but there are some areas where there can be holes. Another thing is this game is marketed as a letter writing game and it's a journaling game, two very different things.

What an awesome concept. Coming up with some other flavors and house rules using the core mechanic, i.e.: a VHS with camcorder footage instead of a journal (1980s - 2010s), abandoned old CBBS, mysterious carrier pigeon, etc. Love it!

A great 2-player ttrpg that you can play with someone online quite easily. And you don't have to worry about scheduling. I have the physical copy and journal, but also the online and am starting a google doc version for the next game. They give you just enough info, imo. It's not bogged down with extraneous rules - excellent product!
